Widgets refresh daily at midnight. If your widget appears stale, open the Motive app and make any change in Settings — this triggers an immediate refresh of all widgets.
Open Motive, go to Settings, and enter your birthdate. The Life Progress widget will then show your life grid based on that date.
Open Motive, go to Settings, and enter your goal name and goal date. The countdown will appear on any Goal Countdown widget you've added.
